Offered is a very nice U.S. Waist Belt Plate know as the "Dragoon" style with "puppy paw" studs on the reverse. The "Dragoon" term refers to the "puppy paw" studs placed behind the "S" on the reverse of the plate. The plate was excavated at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas in the early 1980's. The plate face has a nice even "chocolate" brown patina. This is the way you want to find excavated plates, untouched and not cleaned. All studs are present and the face is free of any dents. Plate will be shipped in pictured "riker" mount.
